📢 Join us for the Hybrid Conference on the Belgian Reports for FIDE 2025!
We are pleased to confirm that the event will take place on March 26, from 14:00 to 16:30, kindly hosted by Belgian Ministry for Foreign Affairs. While the conference will be held in a hybrid format, we strongly encourage in-person participation!
This conference is organised ahead of the Biennial Congress of the International Federation of European Law (FIDE), which will take place in Katowice (hosted by the Polish Association of European Law) from May 24 to 26. During this major event, each participating country will present its national reports on the three key topics selected for this edition. This is a crucial moment for the European legal community, as EU law is shaped through an ongoing dialogue with national legal systems.
The goal of these national reports is to explain the state of the law in Belgian, regarding the topics chosen.
To enrich the discussions and ensure a meaningful exchange of ideas, we are organizing this pre-FIDE discussion on the Belgian reports:
🔹 Emergency Law – drafted by Merijn Chamon, Julian Clarenne, Paul Dermine, Mathieu Leloup & Sofia Vandenbosch
🔹 EU Digital Economy (DSA/DMA) – drafted by Alexandre de Streel, Michèle Ledger & Florian Jacques
🔹 Energy Solidarity & Security – drafted by Frederik Vandendriessche & Natan Vermeersch
We invite all BEDER members to attend and help spread the word! 📢
