Are you a PhD researcher in EU law looking for an opportunity to present your work in an interuniversity and informal setting? Then the PhD2PhD Lunch Seminars, held in the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, might be just what you’re looking for!

These sessions provide a low-threshold setting to:

  • Present your ongoing research or publication ideas
  • Share questions or challenges you’re encountering in your PhD journey
  • Receive constructive feedback from peers active in EU law research

Our aim is to foster academic exchange, mutual support, and potential future collaborations among young scholars.

  • Interested?

Send a short description of your research or the topic you’d like to present to marthe.delodder@beder.be.
There is no requirement to submit a fully written paper. A clear outline of your research question, methodology, or preliminary findings are more than sufficient.
Presentations should last approximately 15 minutes, followed by a Q&A session.

  • Kick-off session

To open the series, we are pleased to welcome Fien van Reempts, PhD researcher at the University of Antwerp, who will present: “The Effectiveness of Directives in Horizontal Situations: A Re-evaluation Post-Popławski II”.

This lunch seminar will take place online on 16 December 2025 from 12:00 to 13:30 (Brussels Time). Please send an e-mail to marthe.delodder@beder.be before 12 December 2025 if you wish to participate. After confirmation, the Teams link will be sent to you in the week of the seminar.
